I was self-employed as an auto painter, however, due to the downturn in the economy as well as the need to stay home and care for my autistic son, I had to close the doors to my business. Now that my son is in school and does not require as much care, I found it difficult to get back into the workforce. I still need to be available to transport him to doctor’s appointments or get him from school if there is an issue. Delivery has been a godsend to my family. I’m able to match my wife’s income, bringing us back to a full two-income family but still leaving me with free time to run errands or get to various appointments as needed. We are just now starting to keep our heads above water. I very much enjoy what I am doing. I meet so many wonderful people throughout my day and more importantly, I feel really good about myself because I am able to help people out by bringing their food or groceries.
