I come from a long line of depression and anxiety. I have a fear of being in public or people harming me. Having a regular job gives me extreme anxiety, not being able to leave and go to my safe space is truly hard for me. I also have a fear of letting people down and I always put my work ahead of me. I started working with DoorDash two years ago and everything changed. I could make my own hours and if I needed to go home, I could. But I'm still able to pay my rent. I've now started doing Instacart, which helps immensely since they pay so well. I have never felt better in terms of depression and anxiety but if these things go away, especially with COVID-19, I will no longer be able to support myself or work.
