I am a husband and father of 4 kids. I work a regular full-time job, and I do ride-sharing and delivery jobs in off-hours to earn extra money to keep up with the huge cost of living in California. I don't want to be an Uber or DoorDash or Amazon Flex employee. I want to be an independent contractor so that I can pick up extra work on my schedule as desired. I love the flexibility of the Gig Economy, and I don't want that to be ruined. During COVID-19, I have been delivering a lot of meals and packages to people who are very grateful for the service. I am happy to help out my community members who are otherwise locked down.
